The Al Tamborista Restaurant
The Al Tamborista restaurant is where Old English hospitality meets Italian cuisine at its finest. Dinner is a relaxed affair, offering generous portions, imaginative sauces, 'al-dente' pasta and of course meat, fish, poultry and game to the highest standards.
The oak paneled dining room offers a burnished and welcoming glow to the guests, with sunlight streaming in during the day and a warm comfortable, candle-lit ambience at night.
The elegant stone street façade remains unchanged from 1743; a side-entrance where the horses were stabled and the creaking coach put to rest for the night is still there, but, inside, light warmth and comfort are better than they have ever been.
After your meal enjoy the comforts of the Hotel Different Drummer where the bedrooms have been redesigned with the modern traveller in mind. As well as all the practical accoutrements, they've been decorated with a sympathetic eye to the building's history; elegant antique furniture sits side-by-side with modern conveniences.
A warm traditional welcome awaits you.
Open Tuesday to Saturday – 6.30 pm until 11.00 pm. (last orders 9.45 pm)
